Larchwood Studio is the hub of Racquety Farm. It's a small complex of buildings that has many functions... but it is so very much more than just buildings. The main studio space is home to a first-rate and ever-growing community of wellness practitioners, most of whom live locally in and around Hay on Wye.

Reflexology in nature
Reflexology is a technique that applies gentle pressure to your feet. It aims to bring about a state of relaxation and help the body's own healing process. Reflexology works in a similar way to acupressure and acupuncture.
Book into this warm divine treatment space where you sit immersed in the trees as you relax into your treatment.

TUESDAYS
HOLSTUDIO MAT PILATES
Every Tuesday with Holly Hickman
Tuesday Classes are 8am - 9am, 9.30am - 10.30am and 7.15pm - 8.15pm
HOLSTUDIO Mat Pilates with Pilates instructor Holly Hickman focuses on the traditional moves and principles created by Joseph Pilates himself.
Allow yourself an hour of your time to align with yourself mentally and physically whilst moving your body in a challenging yet calming way.
Holly likes to focus on lateral breath work during her classes, allowing lymphatic draining to take place within the body. She also likes to channel a deeper level of core strength, enabling our lower backs to feel stronger and over time, allowing her clients to improve their posture, coordination, flexibility and balance.
All bodies are welcome, these sessions are designed to be beginner friendly with the opportunity to progress each movement if clients feel ready to do so. These group sessions are designed to allow each and every client to focus on their own individual needs and strengths letting them choose how challenging they want each movement to become.
Holly also offers 1:1 Mat Pilates sessions for clients who want to create their own workout plans, maybe due to injuries, post pregnancy, bone density issues or even to aid within work clients are already doing with physiotherapists - the list is endless. “

A movement class
An Embodied Yoga practice places it's focus first on awareness itself, teaching that how we move is more important than how far we move. The movements themselves are based on Myofascial lines of functional movement within the body, rather than individual muscles and bones.
Embodied yoga practice connects the mind with the body to help build self-awareness. It helps you to experience yourself in the moment. It strengthens your connection with yourself, making you more attuned, gently allowing you to feel, experience, and trust in what your body is telling you.

PARENT AND BABY YOGA
With Angela Benton - Nurturing Yoga
Wednesdays 10.45am - 12pm in blocks of four or five weeks
There is something truly amazing about a class filled with new parents and the noises of babies! Our baby classes are designed to help restore, rejuvenate and rebuild after pregnancy and birth. The classes give parents a chance to move and breathe, offer some songs and actions to entertain the babies and give both a beautiful chance to bond together.
Whether you’ve done Yoga before or not, it really doesn’t matter; these classes are a chance to start reconnecting with your body - whatever stage you're at. There is absolutely no issue if your baby cries, poos, or feeds - that’s what they do and we welcome everyone; including babes who aren’t playing ball that day. The space we create in the room together is one of compassion and support; and we always make sure there is time for a catch-up, cuppa and a chat too.

MULTI-LEVEL MORNING YOGA
With Seren Berry

The class will be based on Hatha yoga, with some sections of faster movement as a way of waking up and warming the body.
The class is suitable for beginners to advanced students - I offer softer and more advanced variations in many postures, to suit your level and even how tired or energetic you're feeling on the day. Throughout the practice, I encourage you to really listen to how you're feeling and what your mind and body are asking for during the class, stepping away from our natural tendency to always push ourselves and really giving yourself the permission to relax when that's what's needed.
