This little house is the perfect place to relax and unwind, situated deep in the woods on the banks of the River Wye at Larchwood Retreat, Racquety Farm. Although you’ll feel far away from the hustle and bustle it’s just a short walk into Hay’s town centre Hay with its bookshops, cafes, restaurants and excellent independent shops.
Sleeps 6 – just let us know if you want doubles or singles. There’s the option to sleep an extra person or two on a comfy double sofa bed in the sitting room.
The Bothy has a large open-plan sitting and dining area with vast picture windows overlooking the river through the surrounding woodland. There’s lots of wildlife and birds to observe for those who are happy to sit patiently on the sofa and watch, or alternatively, there’s the veranda if you fancy a a spot of ‘forest bathing’.
There’s a well-equipped kitchen, a good shower room and an additional toilet. This little house is spacious, practical, beautiful and lovely and warm. It has a light environmental footprint. There’s a TV, underfloor central heating and plenty of hot water. It’s simply all you need; warmth, space, natural light and beautiful landscape. Ideal for those who want to reconnect with the natural world and appreciate all that the great outdoors has to offers. Canoeing and fishing, walking, birdwatching, art courses, bushcraft and countryside crafts are all available on site or nearby.
The Bothy is situated adjacent to the Wye Valley Walk, Offa’s Dyke Path, easy access to Black Mountains and Radnorshire Hills. It is a great place from which to explore Mid-Wales, The Valleys, and further afield.
